Line Break - 2023

This painting started with simple lines—some straight, some angled—breaking across the canvas. At first, they felt random, like pieces of something unfinished. But as I added color, the shapes began to connect. The cool tones brought a sense of calm, the warm accents added energy, and the design started to feel like reflections—pieces shifting and coming together in a new way.

Creating this piece reminded me that life doesn’t always follow a perfect plan. Sometimes, things feel scattered, uncertain, or unexpected. But even in those breaks, there’s movement, energy, and something meaningful taking shape. Looking at this finished piece, I see harmony in what once felt broken. And maybe that’s what growth looks like—finding beauty in the in-between moments, the shifts, the reflections.
